The always perfect blog of Jeana Sohn (her personal one, of many) shared a link for a 25% off deal to this great little company, Hansel from Basel, that makes really stylish yet wearable socks and tights, among other things. I found their awesome blog and tumblr and to my wonderful surprise saw that Miranda July, one of my favorite writers, had done some modeling for them! If the awesome designs and great prices don't sell me then that sure will. 

Don't you love when you forget about something for a while and then, when you rediscover it, it's the best feeling of, oh! you! there you are!


Anyhow, seeing this today felt like that.

Before I ever paid attention to blogs, there was Karla Derass and Karla's Closet. 

Anyhow, Karla seems like a real cool chic (she's only 21 or 22, at the most) and she's been a creative presence in the fashion world for a few years now. She's got pretty funky style, yet she always seems to have this classic, old Hollwood gal-from-the-50s look to me. It's quite an accomplishment, in my book, to look classic, modern, edgy, and feminine all at the same time. Cool.
